If you’ve followed me for a while now, you already know where your inner critic comes from. Right, it comes from your past as a byproduct of your early socialization.
It humiliates and belittles you. Stops you from achieving your goals and living your dreams. Always toxic and loud.
Or is it?
Could your inner critical voice be caring and supportive, trying to help or warn you of any possible trouble?
Could it even become your friend? [...]

How often do you want things to be different in your life?
A bigger house, new smartphone, or more cash? A perfect partner or kid? A breathtaking body or outstanding experiences?
Yep.
Welcome to the club of human beings.
Most of us find it difficult to be satisfied with what we have. We expect life to be as we want it to be and fully under our control.
So, we push and pant, and push again fixing things, looking for solutions, setting one goal after another, hoping that each step will bring us closer to happiness.
But does it? [...]

Last month, I went through the challenge of revisiting my past.
I was in my parents’ home, empty of people but full of stuff—and memories.
The journey had the potential to be a disaster. It could’ve thrown me into a downward spiral of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression.

You can see your legs and arms just by looking at them. You can study your face and even your rear in a mirror. But you can’t look inside your skull … and that’s good news.
Many facts about the human brain we learned in school have been proven wrong in recent decades. Like the old myth that an average person only uses about 10 percent of the brain capacity. (But if you are James Bond, you may be using all 15 percent!) [...]

Tell me something.
Waking up early in the morning, how often do you feel thrilled?
Every day? Now and then? Ever?
*Sigh*
Instead, rambling bells blow up the silence of your bedroom, ripping you out of the abyss of sleep. Your heart scared out of the rhythm, bumps frantically against the chest.
And all you wish is to slide deeper under the covers, back into the lethargy of sleep [...]

Perfectionist woman the best
Do you want to do everything just perfect?
Good enough is a foreign concept. One of the best wouldn’t do.
You aim at THE BEST.
You push yourself far and beyond to keep the house pristine, everyone satisfied and job done ahead of the deadline.
Like a bulldozer, you propel forward at the highest possible speed sweeping away the mess and pulling others under the blade. Persistent and unstoppable.
Until you run out of gas [...]

Family holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving can trigger painful memories of the past.
Don’t you agree?
We exile these memories to the darkest corners of our minds believing that if we ignore them, they’ll do the same for us.
But they keep popping up and throwing us into a well of despair when we need them the least – in the moments of stress, depression or grief. And around holidays, when all we want is to relax and enjoy ourselves [...]
